So, an anon asked what my wardobe staples were and i thought the best way would be to do a video. BUT my webcam sill isn’t fixed, so you will have to settle for a blog post :)

I’ve done this in categories. Accessories, Socks and Shoes, Tops, Bottoms and All in One/Body. Hope this helps anon.

Accessories and Jewellery

  • A good pair of sunglasses. I recently invested in some tortoise shell cat eyes and i have wore them to death this summer! It’s worth investing in good quality so you can wear them every year and colours like black/tortoiseshell are really timeless.
  • A Pair or pearl earrings. I wear small pearl studs every day and they make a plain outfit look cute but they’re also lovely with evening dresses. They are just timeless and will always look cute and classy.
  • A patterned head scalf. A cute head scalf can be used for so many things and in so many ways. I even use some of mine as belts! They really jazz up an outfit and are evocative or retro style.
  • Hair Flowers, Bows and Ribbons.- A good assortment of girly hair accessories really set an outfit off and can even contrast more grungey outfits.
  • Waist belt- Whether ir be thick or thin, in any colour or have studs, bows flowers on, it doesn’t matter. A waist belt is great for enhancing a curvy figure and is also quite ‘retro’.
  • Satchel Bag- A good satchel bag in a neutral colour can go with ANYTHING. I’m not really into handbags as i’m lazy and cant be bothered to hold things so satchel or over shoulder bags are really handy :)
  • Beret- So cute in winter and they keep you warm. What more do you need?
  • Stockings and Girdle- If you want to go authentic vintage then a good strong girdle and some seemed stockings looks amazing.

Tops

  • Band/Film Tshirts- Tshirt’s with things you like on, what more could you want? I don’t wear them as often anymore except when i’m slouching around the house and being lazy but they are so comfy and cool and go with anything. I used to wear mine with collard shirts underneath to add a bit of girlishness :)
  • Peter Pan Collar Top/Blouse- Who isn’t in love with Peter Pan Collar’s as of late? They are so cute and the collar is something quite cute and girly which sets an outfit off. Love them!
  • Halter Kneck ‘Pin-up’ style top- These are really flattering and cute for most body types and look great with shorts/flared skirts/pencil skirts.
  • Tie Front Top- These are so cute for a casual look and also look awesome with lots of things.
  • Casual Cardigan- A plain coloured cardigan goes with anything. Mine is red and i just wear it to death. You can button just the top couple of buttons or tie it for a more ‘vintage’ look too!
  • Good Mac or Swing Coat- Black, Navy, Cream coloured and you can wear it with everything and anything in autumn/winter to keep you warm.
Body/ All in One- As i rarely wear trousers almost every day i wear a dress. So this is the majority of my wardrobe. These are the types i wear the most.
  • Tea Dress, Midi Dress, Playsuit, Mini Dress, Peter Pan Collar Dress, Floral Dress, Little Black Dress, Pleated Dress, Swing Dress.

Bottoms- I don’t wear trousers, like EVER so these are the things i find comfortable and versatile to wear instead.

  • Skater/Circle Skirt- I have about 10 in various patterns, lengths and colours and they can be put with ANYTHING. And are really flattering
  • Pencil Skirt- Really flattering and sexy and just ‘dress up’ any outfit.
  • High Waisted Shorts- Once again flattering on most figures and are really easy to wear. That’s usually what i go for instead of jeans if i have to be moving around a lot.
  • TIGHTS- I have over 50 pairs of tights in every colour/pattern and style you can think of. Plain, Suspender, Back Seem. They keep your legs warm and look nice :P

Feet and Shoes

  • Knee High Socks- I have these in every colour and they look really cute with anything.
  • Ankle Socks- A lot of people don’t like them but i love them with heels, converse, mary jane’s anything.
  • Converse/Sannies- Useful for when you need to go walking or somewhere were nice shoes would get ruined. And they’re really casual and comfy too :)
  • Mary Jane’s/Ballet Flats/Dolly Shoes- What ever you want to call them they go with everything. I adore my red T bar’s.
  • Wedges- A good pair of casual wedges can look great during the day and on a night. I like to wear mine during the day if i’m wearing a long dress so elongate my legs.
  • Nude and Black Heels- I think this is a given.
